Hey there, awesome friends!
Let’s talk about bouncing back and finding ourselves behind the eight ball. We’ve all been there, right? Life throws us curveballs, and suddenly, we’re knocked off our routine, trying to figure out how to jump back in the driver’s seat and take control. It’s like one moment you’re cruising along, and the next, you’re scrambling to find the wheel.
For us Christians, there’s this great saying for moments like these: “Jesus, take the wheel!” And honestly, whether you believe in Jesus or not, having a power or spiritual aid bigger than yourself can make all the difference. It keeps us from giving up and helps maintain that precious hope we all need. Because let’s be real, as humans, sometimes we’re just plain tired and in desperate need of an assist.
I’ve been there—tired, overwhelmed, fatigued, low, and more. But I’ve also been empowered, full of faith, energized, and hopeful. Life is a rollercoaster, and this post is all about choosing your hard.
Marriage is hard, but so is divorce. Losing weight is hard, but so is dealing with the self-esteem lows from gaining weight. Parenting is hard, but so is dealing with the repercussions of not being a parent. Every path we take has its challenges, and we’ve got to decide which ones are worth facing.
When life knocks you down, it’s okay to take a moment and breathe. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed. The key is not to stay there. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back in the game. Lean on your faith, your family, your friends—whatever keeps you grounded and motivated.
Remember, it’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to admit that you’re tired and need a break. We all do. But don’t let that break turn into a full stop. Keep pushing, keep believing, and keep striving for better. Your hard is worth it, and so are you.
So next time you’re feeling behind the eight ball, remember that it’s just another challenge on your path. You’ve got the strength, the faith, and the resilience to overcome it. Choose your hard, and keep moving forward.
You’ve got this!
With love and positivity,
Joy Junkie!
