Happy New Year, friends! 2025 is here, and with it comes the reminder that time waits for no one. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been doing some reflecting. Let me be real—I wasted more time in 2024 than I care to admit. I missed out on compounding benefits because I wasn’t consistent with my efforts. That realization stings, but it also fires me up. This year, I’ve decided: I need to get bolder, more consistent, and more intentional.
The truth is, most of us are out here trying to secure more provisions for our visions, but provisions don’t just fall in our laps. They require movement and strategy. For me, that means getting more organized—decluttering my life, my goals, and my schedule so I can focus on what matters. It means building my energy back up through better exercise and nutrition, because the dream won’t happen if I’m too drained to chase it. That’s my move.
But what about you? What’s your move this year?
Your Move Is as Unique as You Are
Everyone’s “move” looks different because our needs and goals are different. Maybe your marriage feels dry, and you know it’s time to pour more attention and effort into your relationship. Maybe your kids are lost in their electronics, and they need more one-on-one time with you—time to connect, laugh, and create memories.
Or maybe it’s spiritual. Has your Bible reading been sporadic or nonexistent? This could be the year you dive deeper, finding clarity and strength in God’s Word.
Whatever it is, take a moment to identify where you’ve been stagnant and where you need to start moving.
How to Start Making Your Move
- Get Clear on What Needs to Change
What’s been holding you back? Is it procrastination, fear, lack of direction? Pinpoint the areas where you’ve been stuck. - Commit to Bold Action
Bold doesn’t mean reckless; it means intentional and fearless. Take that first step—whether it’s a conversation, an investment in yourself, or a change in your routine. - Build Consistency
Movement isn’t a one-time thing. Show up daily, even in the smallest ways. Compounding efforts lead to compounding benefits. - Hold Yourself Accountable
Whether it’s journaling, an accountability partner, or tracking your progress, make sure you stay on course.
This year isn’t about trying to do everything. It’s about doing the right things consistently. For me, that means being strategic and relentless in my pursuit of the life I envision.
So, what’s it going to be for you in 2025? Your move is yours to make. Whatever it is, start now—because time is already ticking. Let’s go!
Happy New Year Joy Junkies!
