A message to myself! Let me say it loud and clear for the people in the back: I LOVE ME. Not just on my good days. Not just when I’m looking snatched in the mirror. Not just when everything is going right. I love me, period.
Because here’s the thing—I can be chubby one day and slim the next, but guess what? I’m still cute on BOTH days. Chubby cute. Slim cute. Just plain CUTE. And that’s on self-love!
Why Do We Downplay Ourselves?
Have you ever noticed how we’re quick to downplay ourselves—especially when someone gives us a compliment? Someone tells you, “You look amazing!” and here you go, talking about, “Oh girl, this old thing?” or “Well, I still need to lose some weight.”
STOP THAT. Accept the compliment. Own the glow-up. Celebrate YOU.
We have to get better at self-love because the truth is, the way you see yourself sets the tone for how others treat you. If you don’t love you, how do you expect anyone else to?
Self-Love Ain’t Conditional
Real talk—your love for yourself shouldn’t be based on external factors. It’s not about:
✔ How much you weigh
✔ How clear your skin is
✔ How much money is in your bank account
✔ Whether you’re in a relationship or not
It’s about knowing you are enough, just as you are. PERIOD.
Love Yourself Loudly & Unapologetically
Listen, I’m not waiting until I reach some “perfect version” of myself to start loving me. That’s a trap. The goal isn’t to become worthy of love—the goal is to walk in the worth you already have.
So from now on, when someone compliments you? Say THANK YOU and own it. When you look in the mirror? Hype yourself up. When you feel like putting yourself down? Catch yourself and switch it up.
Because YOU are a whole masterpiece, and it’s time you act like it.
Say it with me:
“I know what? I LIKE me. BETTER YET, I LOVE ME!”
Now go out there and love yourself LOUDLY! 🚀✨
