What Are You Scared Of?

Let’s talk about it.
Why is it so hard to make a decision and actually act on it?

In today’s world, people will see an opportunity, nod their head like, “Yeah, that’s what I need”… and then do absolutely nothing. It’s like the knowing is there, but the doing? Stuck in neutral.

Part of it is fear. Fear of losing. Fear of looking foolish. Fear that it won’t work out. But let’s be real — it’s also because we live in a time where folks don’t trust anything or anybody. You can’t even tell somebody “Hello” without them side-eyeing you, wondering what you’re trying to sell.

And honestly? I get it. Scams are real. People are out here running game. But here’s the flip side:
If you automatically assume everything is a scam, you’ll never move on anything. And the opportunity you need could be right in front of your face — but you’re too busy guarding the door to even peek through it.

It’s the sign of the times. The trust tank is running on empty. Social media is full of “get rich quick” pitches and clickbait promises, so now when a real door opens, everybody’s too paranoid to walk in.

But here’s the truth: walking into anything new is like stepping into a dark room. You can’t see every detail. You don’t know exactly what’s in there. You’ve got to feel your way around and trust that the light switch exists — and that you’ll find it.

That’s called faith. And faith is risky by nature. It doesn’t promise comfort, it promises possibility.

So, what are you scared of? Losing a little time? Losing a little money? Or are you scared of losing your excuse for why life hasn’t changed yet?

Because the reality is, you can’t seize an opportunity with one foot in and one foot out. Either you step into the room or you stay in the hallway. And sometimes the hallway is the scariest place to be — stuck between where you are and where you could be.

I’m not saying trust everybody. I’m saying discern. Ask questions. Do your homework. But once you’ve done all that? Stop hesitating and move.

Faith finds the light. Fear just keeps you in the dark.

What you sayin’? Whew-wee! Fear of losing (money), fear of success. I took that step, both feet in!! 2Timothy 2:13 Take a deep breath, suck it in. Do it again…did it hit you yet? He loves you…don’t be scared because He wants you to win!
