We’ve all said it before:
“When it’s my time, I’m going to live.”
“When it’s my time, I’m going to rest.”
“When it’s my time, I’m going to enjoy myself.”
“When it’s my time, I’m going to do all the things I’ve been putting off.”
But let’s be honest…
Most people spend their entire lives waiting for “their time” while life quietly passes them by.
We wait for the perfect season.
We wait for the stars to align.
We wait for clarity, confidence, extra money, less stress, fewer responsibilities…
And in the process, we forget that life is happening right now.
1. We Spend Years Chasing What We Think Will Make Us Happy
From childhood on, we’re conditioned to go get it:
The degrees.
The job titles.
The house.
The promotions.
The status.
The luxury.
The “I made it” moments.
But somewhere in that chase, the joy slips through the cracks.
We become experts at striving, but beginners at living.
We grind so hard collecting things that we forget to collect memories.
We stack accomplishments but starve ourselves of experiences.
We prepare for the future while neglecting the present.
2. The Lie of “One Day”
“One day” is the biggest scam ever sold.
“One day I’ll travel.”
“One day I’ll enjoy myself.”
“One day I’ll slow down.”
“One day I’ll take better care of me.”
But here’s the thing:
“One day” never magically shows up.
You have to CLAIM it.
Otherwise, you’ll wake up years later with money in the bank but memories missing from your soul.
3. And Let’s Talk About This One—
‘The Best Things Come to Those Who Wait’**
Waiting is really hard to do! We’ve heard it our whole lives.
“Be patient.”
“Wait your turn.”
“Just hang on… the blessing is coming.” And while we are waiting, people are getting it done!
Listen… patience has its place, but passive waiting is a dream killer.
Sometimes we convince ourselves that sitting still is the strategy.
But let me tell you something real:
That is FALSE.
Faith is not passive.
Faith is not idle.
Faith is not sitting around hoping something changes.
FAITH IS AN ACTION WORD.
You have to do something—
move something,
start something,
build something,
sow something,
release something—
to prompt a reaction in the universe.
God designed the universe to respond to motion.
Ask and you shall receive.
Seek and you shall find.
Knock and the door will be opened to you.
But what does that really mean?
It means:
You can’t receive if you don’t ask.
You can’t find if you don’t seek.
You can’t walk through a door you never knocked on.
You have to get at it and keep getting at it—
not sometimes,
not when it feels good,
not when it’s easy,
not when life is calm—
but consistently.
Faith + action = momentum.
Momentum = manifestation.
You can’t wait your way into the life you deserve.
You have to create your way into it.
4. So What Are You Doing NOW to Enjoy Life?
Not tomorrow.
Not next month.
Not “when everything slows down.”
Now.
Are you enjoying your family NOW?
Are you giving yourself rest NOW?
Are you saying yes to joy NOW?
Are you exploring something new NOW?
Are you honoring your mental health NOW?
Are you living fully NOW?
Life doesn’t start when the circumstances become perfect.
Life starts when you decide to be present.
5. Joy Isn’t a Luxury — It’s a Requirement
You were not created just to work, survive, and push through.
You were created to live.
To laugh.
To explore.
To feel.
To grow.
To connect.
To love.
To experience.
Joy is not irresponsible.
Joy is not a distraction.
Joy is not selfish.
Joy is nourishment.
Your spirit needs it.
Your purpose needs it.
Your future self needs it.
6. Let’s Try This Again… but Correctly This Time
“When it’s my time… I am going to live.”
But here’s the upgrade:
“And my time is RIGHT NOW.”
Not later.
Not someday.
Not in a perfect season.
Not when life is easier.
Now.
You don’t need permission.
You don’t need a sign.
You don’t need validation.
You just need willingness.
Because the truth is simple:
The moment you decide to live…
is the moment your life truly begins.
