Straight from the Bible to the Punchline: Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say, Period!

Hey there, folks! In a world filled with more talk and less walk, let’s have a little chuckle about the art of saying what you mean and meaning what you say. No waffling, no wiggling, just good old-fashioned honesty.

Now, the Bible, that timeless book of wisdom, has a thing or two to say about being straightforward. In Proverbs 12:22, it goes, “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.” It’s like God’s giving us a divine thumbs-up for being straight shooters! I can dig it!

And how about this nugget from the His Majesty himself, Jesus, in Matthew 5:37? He says, “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.” Yep, you heard that right. If you start adding extra toppings to your word pizza, it’s the evil one ringing the doorbell! Ain’t nobody home, for real!

In a world where people can’t decide what to order for lunch, being direct and truthful is like finding a unicorn in your backyard (lol). It’s a breath of fresh air in a room filled with verbal potpourri. You smell that?

The beauty of straightforward communication, as even the Bible agrees, is that it’s like a GPS for understanding. No detours, no dead ends, just a clear path to comprehension.

But let’s be honest, being straight up ain’t always a walk in the park. It takes guts and a good sense of humor. It means owning up to your words and actions, even when it feels like juggling flaming torches, or get burned….yikes!

In a world where empty promises are as common as pigeons in the park, being a person of your word is like finding a four-leaf clover. It’s a testament to your character, a sign that you’re not just another verbal acrobat. Big facts! It has everything to do with your brand. Who you are and what you stand for? You can’t walk around like a flimsy plant. Be a tree!

So, let’s make a pact, folks. Say what you mean and mean what you say, period. It’s a simple yet powerful way to cut through the noise and have a good laugh while doing it. In a world filled with empty words, let’s be the ones who bring some laughter back into our conversations, all while staying true to the wisdom of the Bible. Now, go in joy!

Would definitely like to make that pact “say what you mean and mean what you say” that is best. However, you’ve got to know when to say it because the truth hurts. Although you know some people need to hear it. So, it’s best to not say what you mean when you know it will hurt someone’s feeling. At times it’s best to say nothing. Silence is golden.

Timing is everything! And yes, life and death is in the power of the tongue so you have to use discernment.
