Take a deep breath.
Not because everything is figured out. Not because every prayer has been answered. Not because the plan is crystal clear.
Take a deep breath because you’ve survived things that once tried to break you.
And somehow, after all the twists, turns, disappointments, victories, lessons, losses, and growth spurts, you are standing at the edge of a brand-new season.
Welcome home.
Not to a place.
To yourself.
The Strange Beauty of Relearning Who You Are
One of the most unexpected experiences in life is waking up one day and realizing you’re no longer the woman you used to be.
The things that once excited you don’t hit the same.
The people you used to call first aren’t always your safe place anymore.
The dreams you’ve carried for years may no longer fit the woman you’re becoming.
And if we’re honest, that can feel unsettling.
Because nobody talks enough about the grief that comes with growth.
We celebrate promotions.
We celebrate new businesses.
We celebrate new relationships.
But we rarely acknowledge what it feels like to outgrow a version of yourself that carried you for years.
A version of you that did her best with what she knew.
A version of you that survived.
A version of you that got you here.
Sometimes crossing into a new space requires thanking the old you before letting her go.
The Crossing Over Season
There comes a point in life when God starts nudging you toward new territory.
It’s exciting.
It’s scary.
It’s uncomfortable.
It’s necessary.
You start feeling restless where you’ve always been comfortable.
Conversations begin to change.
Your priorities shift.
Your tolerance for drama decreases. (FACTS!)
Your desire for peace increases. (BIG FACTS!)
The opportunities that once looked appealing no longer align with your purpose.
And while everyone else may see success, you’re experiencing transformation.
The challenge is that crossing over usually happens before you’ve fully adjusted to the new version of yourself.
You’re no longer who you were.
But you’re not fully who you’re becoming.
And that space right there?
That’s where many people quit.
Not because they’re failing.
But because they’re unfamiliar.
Stop Looking for the Old You
Girl, let me lovingly tell you something.
Stop searching for the person you used to be.
She isn’t missing.
She evolved.
Too many of us keep trying to squeeze ourselves back into old spaces because they’re familiar.
Old routines.
Old mindsets.
Old friendships.
Old fears.
Old limitations.
But growth has a way of making old environments feel uncomfortable.
That’s not punishment.
That’s preparation.
The old version of you was built for a different chapter.
The woman you’re becoming requires new habits, new boundaries, new confidence, and sometimes a new circle.
You don’t need permission to grow.
You don’t need approval to evolve.
You don’t need consensus to become.
Learning Yourself Again
Relearning yourself is one of the holiest journeys you’ll ever take.
It looks like asking:
- What brings me joy now?
- What do I value today?
- What drains my energy?
- What gives me life?
- What am I pretending to enjoy because I’ve always enjoyed it?
- What am I afraid to pursue because it’s new?
Sometimes we spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we lose touch with our own voice.
We become experts at managing responsibilities while forgetting how to nurture ourselves.
Then one day life hands us a mirror.
And we realize we’re being invited to reconnect with the woman underneath all the titles.
The woman beyond the job.
Beyond the business.
Beyond the marriage.
Beyond motherhood.
Beyond everyone’s expectations.
The woman God created before the world told her who she should be.
Give Yourself Permission to Be New
You are allowed to want different things.
You are allowed to discover new passions.
You are allowed to start over.
You are allowed to pivot.
You are allowed to reinvent yourself at 45, 55, 65, or beyond.
Age is not a deadline on becoming.
Some of the most beautiful things in life happen after you’ve stopped trying to prove yourself and started embracing yourself.
There is freedom in that.
There is peace in that.
There is joy in that.
Trust the Woman You’re Becoming
The truth is, every new level requires a new version of you.
Not a fake version.
Not a perfect version.
A healed version.
A wiser version.
A more confident version.
A more authentic version.
The crossing over you’re experiencing isn’t happening to you.
It’s happening for you.
You’re shedding what no longer fits.
You’re making room for what does.
You’re learning that growth isn’t always about adding more.
Sometimes it’s about releasing more.
More fear.
More doubt.
More guilt.
More people-pleasing.
More limiting beliefs.
Welcome Home
So if you’ve been feeling different lately…
If you’ve been questioning old desires…
If you’ve been sensing a shift…
If you’ve been standing at the edge of something new…
Don’t panic.
Don’t shrink.
Don’t run back to what’s familiar.
Lean in.
Trust the process.
Trust God.
Trust yourself.
Because sometimes “home” isn’t a place you’ve been before.
Sometimes home is finally becoming the woman you were always meant to be.
So hey girl, welcome back.
You found your way home.
And the best part?
You’re just getting started. ❤️
Until next time, keep growing, keep believing, and keep making room for the woman you’re becoming.
